Tunisia opens after quarantine

Entrance for tourists from the countries of the “red” zone in Tunisia remains closed

The World Tourism Organization has officially included Tunisia in the list of safe areas for tourist trips.

The tourist season opened in Tunisia after a three-month quarantine. This was reported by Xinhuanet, citing the Minister of Tourism Mohammed Ali Tumi.

“The World Tourism Organization has officially included Tunisia in the list of safe areas for tourist trips on the basis of a protocol prepared by the country to ensure sanitary standards for workers and tourists,” he said.

Entrance to the resorts is allowed only from the “green” and “orange” countries in terms of incidence of COVID-19. Vacationers from the “orange” countries must get a certificate in advance about the absence of coronavirus.

Land, sea and air borders opened in Tunisia on June 27.
