Congressmen demand Trump report on the impact of his initiative on national security
The White House must explain how the United States can make up for the photos and information received under the Open Skies Treaty.
The Donald Trump administration should provide a report on the impact on national security of a potential US withdrawal from the Open Skies Treaty. This is stated in the proposals of the Armed Forces Committee of the House of Representatives to the US defense budget for the next fiscal year.
“It is worrying that the administration plans to withdraw from the agreement,” the document says.
The committee also insists on the administration’s report on the Allies’s stance on the US exit and how the United States can supplement the photos and information received under the Open Skies agreement.
